What does a Grader do?

A bulldozer is an earthmoving machine designed to push large quantities of rubble, soil, sand and other loose materials. They were originally used by farmers as tractors to plow and clear land. Over time, dozers have evolved to accommodate a variety of environments and applications with high levels of efficiency.

Demonstrating knowledge of the functions of a bulldozer
Planning for work activities and prepare work area.
Starting and shutting down bulldozer.
Operating a bulldozer
Transporting a bulldozer to and from sit.

Duties of a Bulldozer operator

Driving trucks to the destination site.
Pulling levers or turning cranks to tilt the body and dump the truck’s contents.
Inspecting the truck from tyres, lights and brakes to fuel, oil and water.
Performing pre- and post-trip inspections.
Keeping the truck clean and in good working order.
Inspecting material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and securely.
Reviewing shipping documents to verify data is accurate.
Maintaining a driver log.
